10 night Spain & Portugal: Barcelona – Ibiza – Seville - Lisbon

Home to a major international airport, Barcelona is the 2nd largest city in Spain. Situated in the north-east Mediterranean coast, between the sea and the mountains, Barcelona stands apart for its unique architecture, vibrant cultural scene and beautiful natural surroundings. Kilometres of golden sand beaches offer the chance to sunbathe, relax and indulge in fun activities. Couples will enjoy the views from Montjuïc hills or from the breath-taking unique Park Güell; Sagrada Familia temple is a must to every visitor; a walk along La Rambla tree-lined pedestrian avenue and one of the busiest places in the city is a romantic option and the chance to discover the small streets and squares in the old town, plenty of smaller shops, cafés and restaurants. And for those willing to complete as many activities as possible, the religious local reference is Montserrat mountain, 1 hour drive away. Love natural photo-sceneries? North Barcelona Costa Brava is waiting with its traditional fisherman villages, small caves of turquoise waters and unspoilt country side.

An island break in your honeymoon is a must.  Even if it is known as the party island, Ibiza isn’t all about the nightlife: Ibiza is also relax, it is luxury villas, boutique hotels, crystal-clear waters and white sand beaches that attract most spoiled visitors in their yachts in summer time. This small Mediterranean island, just half an hour away by flight from Barcelona, offers you the chance to discover peaceful interior landscapes and villages, lesser-explored coastlines and cosy seaside restaurants. At nights, the areas around Ibiza town get lively when best clubs and discotheques open their doors. Take the opportunity and enjoy the night as nowhere else. Next day you can take it easier, strolling around the winding, narrow streets of Ibiza’s Town old quarter, with its cafés and small boutiques.

Head to the airport and board on first flight to Seville. The capital city of south region Andalusia is one of the most popular destinations in Spain. Andalusia is the perfect combination of romance and culture, with a relaxed ambience and an endless list of attractions to add to your stay. Seville is a cheerful city with an amazing cultural heritage: the Moorish architecture represented by La Giralda Cathedral, the Alcázar Palace, the small winding streets of Santa Cruz neighbourhood with the smaller traditional restaurants and taverns, white houses and flowers on the façades. Seville is also gardens and large avenues, it is evening boat tours along the beautiful Guadalquivir river. Take the chance and enjoy a horse carriage tour and end your evening with a typical flamenco show. If time allows it, you should not miss Granada and Córdoba - their rich heritage is worth a day off.

Last stage of this trip will bring couples to Portugal, a short journey by flight from Seville. Winding cobblestone streets, world-class wine, delicious seafood, beautiful smaller town and villages, long wide beaches, castles, monasteries … just a stone’s throw from Lisbon.

Portugal’s capital is often overlooked as one of Europe’s most romantic cities: settle into one of the boutique hotels in the Chiado neighbourhood; stroll up and down the tiny streets of the old Alfama; head up to a hotel rooftop and enjoy the views while relaxing at the bar; hop on the old-fashioned yellow tram that will take you to st George’s castle for the best panoramic views. If you have an extra day, Sintra is a fantastic choice, with the ancient royal castle; head otherwise to Cascais, a seaside suburb, for a beach day and a good seafood meal.
